One of Genoa's oldest churches, it was constructed in 1177 on an offshoot over the sea; a narrow pier where boats docked during the first centuries of the second millennium.   This church contains valuable paintings and sculptures from the XVII e XVIII centuries. The building main structure originates from the XII century.
