The main monuments of Castiglione Olona.

COLLEGIATA CHURCH
The Collegiata consacrated on 25 march 1425, was built by Alberto, Giovanni and Pietro Solari architects in Milan. It is characterized by a front "a capanna", with a longitudinal layout divided into a nave and two aisles. It holdes the stories of the Virgin by Masolino da Panicale and those of Saints Stefano and Lorenzo by Vecchietta and Paolo Schiavo. Near the Collegiata, inside the north tower of the old fortress, the stories of Saint John the Baptist were frescoed by Masolino in 1435.

VILLA'S CHURCH
It offers the researchers grounds of great interest. On the front there are the statues of Saints Antony and Christoforo. It was built to order of Cardinal Branda in 1437. Unlike the local architectural tradition, it responds to the Brunelleschi's style since cubical and spherical elements characterise the whole. Possibly, local skilled workers built it according to a project by Brunelleschi or Vecchietta. The construction of the church eneded up in 1444. It rises on the area of the previous Old Oratory of the Saint Sepulchre and is consecrated to the Most Holy Eucharist, the Virgin Mary and the Four Doctors of the Latin Church.

CARDINAL'S PALACE
The Cardinal's palace includes the Saint Martin Chapel frescoed by "il Vecchietta" (1437), the Cardinal's room and the Cardinal's study with a fresco by Masolino and "il Vecchietta".
